Meet Jacksen
Jacksen is a senior at Williamsville High School. I got in touch with him through his parents because we attend the same church. This family is truly incredible and go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcomed and serves however they can! So, when I was reached out by Katie, Jacksen's mom, about doing his senior pictures, you can say I was thrilled.
Plus, while I absolutely love photographing all seniors, when it comes to doing a senior's photos that attends the same high school I attended, there's added meaning behind it. It's fun to be transported back to those feelings of excitement feeling your future and the world at the tip of your fingertips, and something about photographing seniors from Williamsville High School does that to me!
Like I mentioned previously, Jacksen is set to graduate from Williamsville next year and plans to go to college majoring in education, focusing on high school education. After meeting Jacksen and getting to know his personality, this education choice makes sense for him! He is very intellectual and way above my knowledge level! He doesn't say much because he is busy taking everything in. Not to mention, he is also involved in scholastic bowl!
Our Session
We started our session at Jacksen's high school. When a senior books a session with me, I always make sure I send them a session guide covering location and outfit choices. One tip found in the location section is to pick somewhere that tells your story and has meaning. So, that's where we started with for Jacksen!
After we finished up at Williamsville High School, we headed out to Lincoln Park in Springfield to get some pictures with nature all around. The location set the tone to match Jacksen's personality perfectly to translate into incredible pictures! Come to find out, Jacksen's favorite color is green, and he was surrounded by it in the majority of his session!
